Barry Case

Barry Michael Case, 70, of Vevay, Indiana, died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2019, at The Water’s of Clifty Falls in Madison, Indiana.

He was born April 18, 1949, in Cincinnati to Walter and Virginia Baurittel Case. He lived his early life in Ohio and later in Kentucky before moving to Vevay in 1996. He made jewelry and was a self-employed salesman all of his life.

Survivors include his adopted son, Craig Shook of Vevay; a sister, Sharon Delski of Milford, Ohio; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Debra “Debi” Reisenbeck, in December 2009.

Cremation was requested with no other services at this time.

Lynda Chatham

Lynda Lou Corbin Chatham, 78, of Lexington, Indiana, died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019, at Norton Hosparus Inpatient Care Unit in Louisville.

She was born Oct. 23, 1941, in New Albany, Indiana, to Willard Jesse and Ruth Lavon Gilland Corbin. She had lived in Jefferson County, Indiana, since she was 2 and graduated from Madison High School in 1960. Her early employment included jobs at Park-N- Eat Restaurant, Thrift Dollar Store and Wetzel Drug Store. She was a member of the Madison Pentecostal Church and taught Sunday school for many years. She later attended Madison Assembly of God Church, Apostle Ministries and Hanover Baptist Church. She learned how to play the accordion early in life and played until her arthritis did not allow her to play. She loved collecting dolls, reading, listening to gospel music, watching old Westerns, and being with her children and grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, loving mom and grandma. She was a faithful Christian and was dedicated to her church work.

She is survived by her husband, Jon Ted Chatham of Lexington; two daughters, Shari Pahls of Madison, Indiana, and Melissa Bentley of Hanover, Indiana; two sisters, Pat Corbin and Janice Chandler of Madison; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jerry Corbin.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2019, at 11 a.m. at the Hanover Baptist Church in Hanover. Interment will follow in the Springdale Cemetery in Madison.

Visitation was Monday afternoon at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison and will beTuesday from 10 a.m. at the church until the time of service.

Ashley Miller

Ashley Kay Miller, 38, of Manville, Indiana, died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019, at her home.

She was born July 25, 1981, in Columbus, Indiana, to Richard Alan “Buzz” and Pamela J. Adams Miller. She lived all of her life in Jefferson County and was a 2000 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School. She attended New Life Fellowship Church in Madison and worked for several years for Jay-C Food Store in Madison as a cashier. She was devoted to her son and loved to watch him play basketball. She enjoyed going out with her friends and family and riding a golf cart and four-wheeler around Manville.

Survivors include her parents, of Manville; a son, Bentlee Alan Miller of Manville; a sister, Sarah Slone of Fisherville, Kentucky; five aunts, three uncles and numerous cousins, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Grandview Memorial Gardens near Madison.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
