Annie Bell 

Annie Gail Long Bell, 70, of Bedford, Kentucky, died Monday, Sept. 28, 2020, at the Owenton Center in Owenton, Kentucky. 

She was born Jan. 25, 1950, in Cumberland, Kentucky, to Floyd Mule Long and Kathleen Long. She was schooled and lived in Trimble County, Kentucky, most of her life. She married Raymond Bell in 1987, was a homemaker and loved her animals. She was of the Baptist faith and had attended Bedford Baptist Church. 

Survivors include her son, Jack Scott of Milton, Kentucky; a granddaughter, Aubrey Scott; and her companion of 14 years, Hardy Little, of Bedford.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband on Nov. 14, 2003.

Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 2, at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison, Indiana.  Interment will be at a later date in the Moffett Cemetery in Milton. Visitation is from 4 p.m. until time of services Friday at the funeral home.

Aileen Hearn

Aileen Hearn, 67, of Milton, Kentucky, died Monday, Sept. 28, 2020, at Baptist Health in La Grange, Kentucky.

She was born on Jan. 20, 1953, in Carrollton, Kentucky, to James and Mary Ellen Hunter Hunt. She retired from King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison, having worked in the custodial department. She was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include three sons, Jeremy Malone Hearn and Gaberal Matthew Hearn, both of Milton, and Marty Aaron Hearn, of Louisville; a sister, Cathy Spivey of Comanche, Texas; a brother, Stanley Hunt of Carrollton; and 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clinton Malone Hearn; three brothers, Steve, Charlie, and George Hunt.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1, at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton.  Visitation will be from noon until time of services Thursday at the funeral home.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the funeral home will operate at 50% capacity and face masks and social distancing are both required for attendance.

Larry Morris

Larry Lee Morris, 74, of Madison, Indiana, died Monday, Sept. 28, at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison.

He was born March 24, 1946, in Madison, to Henry Lawrance and Norma Louise LaPine Morris. He married Janice Layne Bickers and they had three sons. He retired from the City of Madison Wastewater Treatment Plant in 2009 after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Major Samuel Woodfill Post No. 9 American Legion and enjoyed fishing and playing bingo.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Larry Michael "Mike" Morris and Greg Allan Morris, both of Madison; three brothers, Roger Morris, of Clarksville, Tennessee and Donald Morris and Timmy Morris, both of Madison; a half-brother, Lawrance Morris, of Charlestown, Indiana; and three grandchildren and a great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, David Scott Morris; a sister, Linda Morris Perry; a brother, David Morris; and a half-sister, Beverly Higgins.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, on Madison's hilltop with interment to follow in Springdale Cemetery in downtown Madison. Visitation is 5 p.m. too 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until time of the services Friday.

Alta Woodruff

Alta Fern Woodruff, 99, of McClean, Virginia and formerly of Carrollton, Kentucky, died Sunday, Sept. 27, 2020, at her home in McLean.

She was born June 17, 1921, in Falmouth, Kentucky, to Thomas and Ettie E. Hall Biddle. She had worked in the hotel industry as a manager of housekeeping.

Survivors include a son, Michael D. Woodruff of McClean; a grandson, Griffin Andrew Layne and a great granddaughter, Amelia Carolina Layne, both of Cleveland.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Barbara Kay Haley Nieberding in August 2015; two sisters, Florence Yelton and Alberta Riley; and four brothers, Robert, Charles, John and William “Doc” Biddle.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 2, at the Lenoxburg Cemetery in Foster, Kentucky. No visitation is planned.
