Connie Bragg

Consuelo “Connie” Ray Burnette Bragg, 75, of Hanover, Indiana and Thomasville, North Carolina, died Monday, Sept. 7, 2020, at the Hospice of the Piedmont in High Point, North Carolina.

She was born July 29, 1945, in Madison, Indiana, to Marvin Burnette and Burdean Wilson Burnette Gray. She was raised in Dupont, Indiana, and earned her GED there. She married Malcolm “Mike” Reid Bragg on Sept. 22, 1965, and they had three daughters. She worked at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Alaska and then for 30 years in clerical at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia. She moved to Hanover in 2005 and had enjoyed wintering in Bradenton, Florida. She had been baptized at the Dupont Baptist Church, was a member of the Madison Moose Lodge No. 765, and enjoyed sewing and playing golf.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years of Hanover and Thomasville; her daughters, Tanya Sue Hooker of Archdale, North Carolina, Mychell Denise Lang of Watkinsville, Georgia and Brenda Diane Puckett of Burlington, North Carolina; her brother, Tom Burnette of Dupont; her sisters, Marilyn Birge and Mary Lou Halcomb, both of Madison; and nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 13, at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel in Madison. Interment will follow in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery there.

James Graham Sr.

James Weston Graham Sr., 69, of Madison, Indiana, died on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2020, at his home.

He was born Aug. 14, 1951, in Jefferson County, Indiana, to Herman Ernest and Idalou Vernie Suratt Graham. He resided most of his life in Jefferson County and attended school there. He was a laborer at the Madison Electro Plating and a truck driver until he was disabled. He was first married to Debra Jones in October 1978 and they had four children. He enjoyed fishing, watching wrestling, going to car shows and being with friends and family. He married Shannon Colber on June 12, 1995 and they had three children. He was a member of North Madison Baptist Church, enjoyed watching and collecting memorabilia of Dale Earnhardt Sr.

Survivors include his sons, Harold James Graham and Michael Graham, both of Mansfield, Ohio and James Graham Jr. of Wooster, Ohio; his daughters, Lucy Graham of Wooster, Michelle Perry of North Vernon, Indiana, Amy Wheeler of Madison and Sabrina Wiseman of Hanover, Indiana; his sisters, Helen Carter of Madison and Patsy Jones of Kentucky; his brothers, Gary Mahoney of Louisville and Robert Graham of Virginia; and 13 grandchildren, a great granddaughter and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Virginia Eraline Graham Newman and Audrey Jean Mahoney; his brothers, Arnold D. Graham and Ernest Lee Graham.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison. Interment will follow in the Grandview Memorial Gardens near Madison. Visitation is from 11 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the funeral home

Linda Griffith

Linda Clem Griffith, 84, of Bedford, Kentucky, died Sunday, Sept. 6, 2020, at the King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison, Indiana.

She was born April 29, 1936, in Bedford, to Ralph and Lena Joyce Clem. She was a homemaker and a member of Bedford Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, antiquing, flea markets and University of Kentucky basketball.

Survivors include a brother, David Clem of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; a special family friend, Sue Olds, and several nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Prentice E. Griffith; a son, Brad Griffith; and a brother, Paul Clem.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the Bedford Baptist Church in Bedford. Visitation will be from noon until the time of service at the church.
