    Jazz for Jesus: Hanover United Methodist Church, 220 E. LaGrange Road, Hanover, will host “Jazz for Jesus” Jan. 21. The jazz quartet features Brook Reindollar on trumpet, Steve Pullias on bass, Rick Bennett on saxophone and Yvonne Davis on piano. A chili supper will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the concert at 7 p.m.

    True stories provide readers with different ideas that are thought-provoking, such as the three books reviewed today – the story of the loyal dog, Hachiko, who patiently waited for ten years for his beloved Dr. Ueno to come home; the boy who was told he was the true King of England in 1486; Jane Addams, who devoted her life to helping others.

    TUNA and EARTHA KITTEN  are rare, they are winter kittens, because kittens are usually born and only available in the spring and summer months. Tuna and Eartha Kitten are both 10- to 12-week-old girls who are friendly and playful. They enjoy affection and will seek out attention. The Madison-Jefferson County Animal Shelter currently has three dogs or puppies, and eight cats or kittens available.     The Madison Art Club has opened the first-quarter rotation of “The Art of Healing.”

    The exhibit, which is located in the Seasons Cafe at King’s Daughters’ Hospital, will run through April 8, and can be viewed during the cafe’s business hours.
