    Logan Lainhart, a senior at Shawe Memorial Junior/Senior High School has been named a Commended Student in the 2018 National Merit Scholarship Program.

    A letter of commendation from the school and the organization which conducts the program, will be presented by the principal.

    The Jefferson County Extension Homemakers met Sept. 7 at the Lonnie Mason Agriculture Building on the Jefferson County 4-H Fairgrounds. President Linda Phillips opened the meeting. Dorothy Canada gave the secretary’s report.

He is already microchipped and his new owner just needs to register it. ANCHOR is really “man’s best friend.” He will do anything to please and loves people. He would be a great choice for a first-time dog owner. He is sweet and has great leash manners
