The Madison Senior Center will sponsor an arts and crafts show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday in Bicentennial Park at Vaughn Drive and West St. on Madison's riverfront. The show will be held rain or shine.

The Madison Parks Department and Madison Senior Center have had success the past four years with their Christmas craft show and decided to try an outdoor show in the summer. All proceeds from booth sales will benefit Madison Senior Center events and programs.

The show will feature local artists and craftsmen, along with some of the vendors from the organization's annual Christmas craft show.

Several organizations have committed to hosting informational booths at the event, including the Salvation Army and Southeastern Indiana Independent Living Center, which will provide information on their Vision Assistance Program. All churches and local groups are invited to set up a booth to assist in raising money for their youth group or other fundraising efforts.

The Jefferson County Chapter of the American Red Cross will host a blood drive from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. as part of the show. Donors must be feel well and perform normal activities, be at least 17 years of age and weigh at least 110 pounds. Those intending to donate must bring their donor card, driver's license or two other forms of identification.
