Steve and Glenda Fritter of Madison will celebrate their 50th anniversary on Nov. 24, 2017. The couple exchanged vows Nov. 24, 1967, at Caledonia Presbyterian Church in Madison.

Mr. Fritter retired from Rotary Lift after 40 years of service. He is currently serving as commander of Vevay Post 185 of the American Legion. Mrs. Fritter was employed at Reliance Electric and served on the Jefferson County Absentee Voter Board. They were both active with Jefferson County 4-H and served as leaders for many years.

The couple has two children, Lewis Fritter and wife Alicia of Florence, and Mary McCarty and husband Eric of Salt Lick, Ky.

The will celebrate with an open house from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18 at Swiss Inn in Vevay. The event is hosted by their children. All family and friends are invited. The couple request no gifts.
