Choices for Women Yard Sale: Will be held April 18 and April 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., April 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and April 26 from 9 a.m. to noon. New items will be put out for the second weekend. For more information call (812) 493-9264.

Open Swim: The pool at the Madison Consolidated Junior High School will be open for a community swim on Sundays from 2 to 4 p.m., and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Admission is $1 per person, and elementary-aged children and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Farmer's Market: Will run from April 1 through Oct. 31 on Broadway between Main and Third streets. The market is open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.

April 18

Fish Fry: Kent Volunteer Fire Company will host a fish fry fundraiser from 4 to 8 p.m.

Freethinkers Book Club: Will meet at 6 p.m. on the third Friday of the month at Village Lights Bookstore.

Senior Dance: Will be held Friday by the Madison Parks Department at the Brown Gym featuring the music of Gary Hewitt and the Honky Tonk Band. The doors open at 5 p.m. Music begins at 6 p.m. Admission is $3.50 per person.

No More Cutting: A support group for girls from junior high to college who struggle with depression, fear, anxiety and suicidal thoughts will meet every Friday at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 1429 Clifty Drive, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The group is spiritually-based and non-denominational. World Book Night: Village Lights Bookstore will honor six members of the Courierarea who have volunteered to distribute books to underserved places on World Book Night, April 23. The reception will be held from 7 to 9 p.m.

Fish Fry: Canaan Volunteer Fire Department will host a fish fry from 5 to 8 p.m. with fish, fries, pork tenderloin, coleslaw, hushpuppies, dessert and drinks. A free will offering will be collected.
