Camp Shakespeare: Explore the theatre through imaginative play, visual arts, movement, storytelling and design from 1 to 4 p.m. July 17 to 21 at the Carroll County Public Library. Summer Workshop: The Madison Community Players will host their annual summer workshop from July 17 to July 28 at the Brown Gym. Participants work on props, set pieces and creating a character for a public performance. The workshop culminates in a free show at 7 p.m. July 27 at the Brown Gym. National Ice Cream Day: Celebrate the day with a free ice cream sandwich or frozen treat at the Carroll County Public Library.

JCIDC: The Jefferson County Industrial Development Corporation board will meet at 4 p.m. at the Madison Area Chamber of Commerce with a public session to immediately follow at 5 p.m.

Southwestern School Board: Will meet at 5 p.m. in the elementary school board room, 273 S. Main Cross St., Hanover. The meeting was rescheduled from June.

Tai Chi: Learn the art of Tai Chi from instructor Debbie Elles from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Jefferson County Public Library Madison branch. It is a moving meditation that is a way to reduce stress and balance the body. Tai Chi is a low impact workout for all ages and fitness levels. The class meets in the auditorium.
