Summer Workshop: The Madison Community Players will host their annual summer workshop from July 17 to July 28 at the Brown Gym. Participants work on props, set pieces and creating a character for a public performance. The workshop culminates in a free show at 7 p.m. July 27 at the Brown Gym. Artisan Weekend: The Indiana Wine Trail will host an artisan weekend at area wineries from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 29 and 30. Hoosier craftsman and artists will be at work at Madison Vineyards, Lanthier Winery, Ertel Cellars, The Ridge Winery, Stream Cliff Farms, the Thomas Family Winery and Holtkamp Winery in New Alsace.

Bake Sale and Yard Sale: Jefferson County Free in Need will host a fundraiser sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 636 Hickory Drive. The event is a kick off for the Kids Christmas Cause. Freewill donations will be accepted. For more information, visit the group’s page on Facebook.

Back to School Fair: Will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Bedford Elementary School’s cafeteria with a one-stop for school supplies, health and immunization information, parenting tips, ACES packets, back-to-school information, community resources, door prizes, freebies, food and resources. There will also be a sale with each person getting a bag of free items. The event is open to all Trimble County residents.

PHDs: The Carroll County Public Library invites the public to work on their crafting projects in various stages of completion from 2 to 4 p.m.

Fourth Friday: Will be held on the fourth Friday of each month from 5 to 8 p.m. from March through November in downtown Madison. The event includes live music, free trolley rides and extended business hours.

V. Lori Hedges Art Opening: V. Lori Hedges will open her show, “Havana,” a collection of photos from the Cuban city from 6 to 8 p.m. at Village Lights bookstore. Light refreshments will be served. The exhibit will run through Sept. 22.
