How to Kiss A Girl: The Switzerland County High School Drama Club will present the Wade Bradford comedy, "How to Kiss a Girl," May 16 and May 17 at 7:30 p.m. at the Historic Hoosier Theatre in Vevay. Admission is $5.

Friends of the Library Spring Book Sale: The Friends of the Jefferson County Public Library will hold its annual spring book sale May 16 from noon to 5 p.m., May 17 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and May 18 from noon to 5 p.m. at the Madison branch.

Old Court Days: Will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 23-25 around the Jefferson County Courthouse. The event is the primary fundraiser for the Pilot Club of Madison. Booths are still available. For more information call (812) 493-2024.

TASC Testing: The test that replaces the GED will be given May 27 and May 28 at Madison Consolidated High School. This will be the last test offered at MCHS until September. Pre-registration is required. For more information call (812) 265-6672.

Open Swim: The pool at the Madison Consolidated Junior High School will be open for a community swim on Sundays from 2 to 4 p.m., and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Admission is $1 per person, and elementary-aged children and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Farmer's Market: Will run from April 1 through Oct. 31 on Broadway between Main and Third streets. The market is open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Trail and Park Safety: The public is invited to a lunch at noon at the Livery Stable featuring speaker Pete McCartney, chief park ranger at the Parklands of Floyds Fork. McCartney will discuss security for the park, which is one of the largest and most ambitions metro parks in the nation. For more information call (812) 302-2480.

T-Shirt Quilt Demonstration: Learn how to get started and what you'll need to know to make a t-shirt quilt at 3:30 p.m. at the Carroll County Public Library.

Freethinkers Book Club: Will meet at 6 p.m. on the third Friday of the month at Village Lights Bookstore.

Senior Dance: Will be held Friday by the Madison Parks Department at the Brown Gym featuring the music of Gary Hewitt and the Honky Tonk Band. The doors open at 5 p.m. Music begins at 6 p.m. Admission is $3.50 per person.

Dixie Heights High School Choir: Will be the final concert in the Madison Performing Arts Foundations series at 7 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church. The choir is under the direction of Joshua Huff.

No More Cutting: A support group for girls from junior high to college who struggle with depression, fear, anxiety and suicidal thoughts will meet every Friday at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 1429 Clifty Drive, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The group is spiritually-based and non-denominational. Switzerland County 4-H Club Swap Meet: The 5th annual event will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Switzerland County Fairgrounds. with more than 50th booths. Miss Nelson is Missing!: Southwestern Middle and High School will perform "Miss Nelson is Missing!" at 5 p.m. on the Southwestern Elementary School stage. The play is based on the popular children's book by the same title and is appropriate for all ages. Tickets are $5 for adults, and $2 for children under 18 or with valid school identification.

Fish Fry: The Canaan Volunteer Fire Department will host a fish fry from 5 to 8 p.m. with fish, hamburgers, fries, slaw, hush puppies, drinks and dessert. A free will offering will be collected.
