Bigfoot Expo: Will be held Sept. 16 and 17 at Tandy Farms in Sligo, Ky. with speakers, music, food and prizes. Admission is $2 for adults, $1 for children. The event starts at 9:45 a.m. each day. Walk Away the Pounds: Carroll County Public Library invites the public to walk away the pounds at 9 a.m. on weekdays.

After School Teen Program: Carroll County Public Library will open the community room to teens and tweens from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Monday through Friday with activities.

Jefferson County Republican Women: Will meet at 6:30 p.m. at Harry’s Stone Grill. The program is a book discussion of Dinesh D’Souza’s “America: Imagine a World Without Her.” The discussion will be led by Pam Newhouse. Members are invited to gather at 5:30 p.m. for dinner. Pancake Breakfast: Hanover Masonic Lodge 652 will host a public pancake breakfast from 7 to 10:30 a.m. at the lodge. A goodwill offering will be collected.

Fall Festival: Eleutherian College will host its annual fall festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The day includes tours and archeology demonstrations at 10 a.m., Sean O’Neill on archeology at 11 a.m., tours and lunch at noon, Phyllis McLaughlin with “Related to Thomas Jefferson?” at 1 p.m., Hope Westmoreland with “Class of 1858” at 2 p.m. and Jan Vetrhus with “Such a Life is No Failure,” a dramatic reading of a new play at 3 p.m.

Hispanic Cultural Awareness: The 17th annual event will be held from 4:30 to 9 p.m. at the Broadway Fountain with mariachis, piñatas, music, dancing, food, puppets, and services, information booths and job opportunities. In case of rain, the event will be moved inside the Brown Gym.
