Drake, top, is a sweet boy. He now enjoys attention and will ask for it. He will do best in a calmer home as noise makes him want to hide. He is a 1 to 3-year-old, male, short-haired, neutered orange tabby. He is $25 off of his adoption fees.

Nacho, bottom, has expressive eyes that just beg someone to take him home. He is an affectionate, 9 to 11-month-old Shepherd mix. He currently weighs 36 pounds and will stay a medium-sized dog. He is neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations, so his adoption fee is $45.

The Madison-Jefferson County Animal Shelter currently has more than 17 dogs and puppies, and 25 cats and kittens available. Pictures of additional pets waiting for adoption can be seen at www.sisaveapet.com.

Thanks to a sponsor, all cats one-year-old or older are $45 off of their adoption, rabies vaccination and spay/neuter fees. Eligible cats who are already spayed or neutered are $25 off of their adoption fees.
