To the editor:

On behalf of our entire family we would like to thank everyone for their unbelievable support. We have been overwhelmed by the help of our family, concerned community members, school personnel, and many old and now new friends.

We would like to thank everyone for their cards, words of encouragement and prayers offered on behalf of Colton and our family over the past year and a half.

Although our world has changed immensely, when the going gets tough, the true “spirit” of our community and the best that humanity has to offer continues to shine through to help us fight through the adversity we face along this long road to recovery.

Words cannot adequately describe how very, very, much your selfless acts of kindness have affected our entire family.

Please continue to support future benefits for those in our community who are struggling, hug your children every day, and always let those you love and care about know how very important they are to you.

Love Always,

Beth, Colton, Whitley, and Emma Schirmer (McKittrick)
