General Butler State Resort Park is celebrating its Festival of Trees and Winter Wonderfest Day on Saturday.

Local schools, churches and businesses provide and decorate Christmas trees to display in the General Butler lodge during the month of December. They have been working this week to complete the decorations to reveal to the public Saturday morning, said Tanya Supplee, the park's program service supervisor.

Beginning at 8 a.m. at Two Rivers Restaurant located in the park, there will be a breakfast with Santa for the price of the regular buffet. That morning a hands-on pottery workshop will also be available, and at 11 a.m. Katrina's School of Dance will perform, Supplee said.

A holiday concert will begin at 7 p.m. Saturday with David Stahl and Freddie Helm.

The lodge will close after lunch on Dec. 22 and will re-open for lunch Dec. 29.
