Bryan Bullington has been placed on the seven-day disabled list by the Las Vegas 51s retroactive to July 2.

Bullington, a 1999 Madison graduate, had a 1.50 ERA in his last 10 appearances for the 51s and pitched a perfect ninth inning for his third save of the season on June 30.

Las Vegas, citing its player confidentially policy, decined to disclose the reason for Bullington's assignment to the DL. He was officially placed on the disabled list on Monday and is eligible to come off today.

This is not Bullington's first trip to the DL. He missed the entire 2006 season because of labrum surgery and has had short stints on the DL in each of the last two seasons. This is his first trip to the DL while with Las Vegas or the Toronto Blue Jays organization.
