Christian Academy of Madison’s boys basketball opened Southern Roads Conference play with a 68-48 win at Columbus Christian on Friday.

The Defenders led only 31-25 at halftime but dominated the final two quarters to pull away for the win. Trent Haggard and Luke Carter each scored 17 points to lead CAM while Chase Hoskins scored 15 points on five 3-pointers. Haggard also had 13 rebounds to record yet another double-double.

Gabe Ridder scored 16 points to lead Columbus Christian.

Christian Academy, now 18-4 overall and 1-0 in the SRC, visits Horizon Christian in Indianapolis next Friday.
