— Madison’s junior varsity boys basketball team split a pair of games over the weekend.

On Friday, the Cubs defeated Scottsburg 50-46 at home. Jackson Falconberry had 17 points to lead Madison and Jared Ferguson scored 16.

On Saturday, Madison lost 56-33. Ferguson had 16 points.

Madison, now 4-4 on the season, travels to New Albany on Friday.



— Applications have been delivered to local schools for The Lide White Boys & Girls Club’s 2019 youth wrestling season.

The Club will form teams and compete during a league season with a season-ending tournament. The league is open to boys and girls between age four and fifth grade.

— Carroll County Parks and Recreation has extended its deadline for registration for boys and girls youth volleyball grades kindergarten through sixth.

The league runs mid January through late February and teams and the format of play will depend on the number of players who participate.
