Hanover women’s basketball player Alexis Nall continues to rack up postseason honors. She was just named as a Beyond Sports Collegiate All Star by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association.

The all stars were chosen by a committee of head women’s basketball coaches at NCAA Division III institutions, all of whom are members of the WBCA. Nall is one of 18 players announced to the team, with two more slots that will be decided by fan voting.

Nall, a senior from Mount Vernon, was the lone player from the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference who made the team, and is one of three players from the Great Lakes Region to be selected, along with Sydney Kopp of DePauw and Taylor Lake of Chicago.

“Alexis exemplifies what being a team player truly means. She always puts the team first and extends all the credit to her teammates,” Hanover head coach John Jones said. “It started in the offseason, the work she put in with our strength coach Alex Makin and her teammates trained through this season as her body of work speaks for itself.”

In the 2019-20 campaign, Nall’s play garnered HCAC Player of the Year honors for the second straight season. She averaged career-highs with 18.8 points and 6.2 defensive rebounds per appearance with a .427 three-point shooting percentage. In addition, Nall corralled 9.0 total rebounds per game with a .557 overall field goal percentage. In conference play, Nall put up 22.8 points per contest at a .561 shooting clip, with a .605 mark from behind the arc.
