Hanover College’s swim teams each placed eighth out of eight teams at the Transylvania Invitational in Lexington, Kentucky, over the weekend.

Hanover’s women scored 200 points while the men totaled 108. The combined 308 points were also good for eighth.

Top finishes for the Hanover women were: Nora Miodrag, fifth, 100 breast, 1:09.26 and 10th, 200 IM, 2:15.17; Olivia Loran, Megan Brandt, Meagan Miles and Sydney Schulok, fifth, 200 free relay, 1:44.43; Miodrag, Loran, Brandt and Schulok, fifth, 200 medley relay, 1:55.49; Loran, Miodrag, Sydney Ruggles and Schulok, fifth, 400 medley relay, 4:17.70; Schulok, Brandt, Miodrag and Miles, seventh, 800 free relay, 8:43.59; Schulok, seventh, 50 free, 25.86; Schulok, Loran, eighth, 100 breast, 1:11.64 and eighth, 100 butterfly, 1:11.14; Schulok, Liz Baltas, Miles and Loran, ninth, 400 free relay, 4:00.50.

Top finishes for the Hanover men were: Will Morgan, Louis Holbrook, James Moll and Alex Maldeney, seventh, 400 free relay, 3:24.51 and seventh, 800 free relay, 7:42.17; Moll, Kyle Pfaffenberger, Holbrook and Maldeney, eighth, 200 medley relay, 1:44.70; Morgan, Zach Stringer, Moll and Maldeney, ninth, 200 free relay, 1:32.12; Maldeney, 11th, 100 free, 49.42; Moll, 11th, 100 back, 59.60; and Gunther Davis, 15th, 1650 free, 17:59.74.

Rhodes (Tenn.) won the women’s event with 850 points followed by Franklin (766), Sewanee (417), Rose-Hulman (351), Transylvania (247), Anderson (223), Wittenberg (222) and Oberlin (216).

Rose-Hulman won the men’s event with 1,003.5 points followed by Franklin (694.5), Rhodes (462), Sewanee (258), Wittenberg (247), Oberlin (222), Anderson (188) and Transylvania (166).

Hanover doesn’t swim again until a three-day trip to Huntsville, Alabama, over Christmas break Dec. 27-29.
