Southwestern's girls swam to wins in five individual events to claim a quad meet at home on Saturday.

The Lady Rebels scored 146 points to best Scottsburg (110), Switzerland County (24) and Shawe (14).

Scottsburg scored 94 points to win the boys meet, Southwestern was second with 77 and Switzerland was third with 69.

"We had 15 best times again today. The kids are really supportive of each other and function as a unit," Southwestern coach Shelly Hamilton said. "Those with two individual best times were Nathan Anderson, Abby Brown, Marisa Ebertshauser, and Tiffany Williams. We're enjoying watching them work together to improve. We're very proud of this group this season."

Winning events for the Southwestern girls were: Meredith Webber, 50 free, 30.84; Jordan Worcester, 500 free, 6:08.97; Worcester, Gianna Bennett, Lakin Henderson and Webber, 200 medley relay, 2:18.02 and 400 free relay, 4:23.77; and Cassidy Weaver, Kaitlyn Deskins, Taylor Suthard and Julia Vazquez, 200 free relay, 2:25.30.

Shawe's Liz Grote won two events, the 200-yard individual medley in 2:30.46 and the 100-yard butterfly in 1:08.19.

The Southwestern quartet of Nathan Anderson, Jacob Shaffer, Jacob Grayson and Nicholas Battjes won the boys 200-yard freestyle relay in 2:01.82.

Switzerland County's boys had two wins. Zack Rodgers claimed the 50-yard freestyle in 27.71 and Mikhail Cole won the 100-yard butterfly in 1:07.34.

Other top three finishes for the Southwestern girls were: Henderson, second, 100 fly, 1:17.08 and second, 100 breast, 1:21.14; Worcester, second, 200 free, 2:16.07; Bennett, second, 200 IM, 2:35.00 and third, 100 breast, 1:23.12; Webber, second, 100 free, 1:08.23; Anderson, second, 500 free, 6:43.83 and third, 200 free, 2:31.22; Ashley Truesdell, Jennah Butters, Sarah Schroeder and Carol Osborn, second, 200 free relay, 2:28.13; and Weaver, Suthard, Zaynah Watson and Anderson, third, 200 medley relay, 2:29.64.

Top finishes for the Switzerland County girls were: Samantha Christerson, Liz Nibarger, Jacqueline Hensley and Alyssa Yorn, third, 200 free relay, 2:47.72; Olivia Hewitt, fifth, 500 free, 7:46.22; McKenna Edwards, Hewitt, Christerson and Shelby Cole, fifth, 200 medley relay, 2:42.12; Hewitt, sixth, 50 free, 35.14; Rachel Ard, sixth, 100 free, 1:25.46; Cole, sixth, 500 free, 7:52.01; McKenna Edwards, sixth, 100 back, 1:33.64; and Cole, Ard, Yorn and Hewitt, sixth, 400 free relay, 5:48.81.

Southwestern hosts South Dearborn on Tuesday. Switzerland visits South Dearborn on Thursday.
