Southwestern boys tennis team hosted the Southern Indiana Conference Championships on Saturday with the Rebels finishing as the runner-up to Milan.

Southwestern defeated Christian Academy 3-2 to advance to the championship match while Milan defeated Trinity Lutheran 4-1 in the other semifinal. In the championship, Southwestern and Milan were tied 2-2 with the championship coming down to a third set tiebreaker at No. 2 singles.

Milan won the tiebreaker 10-5 and the match 2-0 to clinched the championship 3-2.

Southwestern’s No. 1 singles player, Coleman Jones, and the No. 2 doubles team Alex Philipp and Riley Elliott were both named All-Conference.
