Southwestern’s wrestling team picked up five individual wins but dropped a tight team decision, 39-31 at Charlestown on Wednesday.

Three of Southwestern’s wins came by either fall or major decision. Adam Anderson (145 pounds) and Mitchell Cline (160) each won by fall while Clifton Hendrickson (126) won by a 14-2 major decision.

Brady McLain (170) picked up a win by a 10-9 decision and Kyler Brooks (195) scored a victory by forfeit.

Cameron Canada (120), Dawson Lichlyter (132), Brandon Smith (138), Mitchell Adcock (182) and Logan Birchfield (285) each suffered losses for the Rebels.

Southwestern returns to action on Saturday when the Rebels compete in the Memorial Invitational Wrestling Tournament in Evansville.
