Madison’s junior varsity boys basketball lost 49-43 at Trinity Lutheran Saturday.

Myles Barnes scored 17 points to lead the Cubs while Quentin Moon and Andrew Scroggins scored six points each.

Madison, now 0-2 on the season, travels to Jennings County Friday and to Corydon Central Saturday.



Switzerland County’s jayvee boys basketball team lost 62-41 to Austin Saturday in its season opener.

Zack Stout scored nine points and Ethan Neal had eight points for the Pacers.

Switzerland, now 0-1, hosts Trimble County Friday and travels to Crothersville Saturday.



Madison Athletics is selling sports passes in the athletic office prior to the winter season.

Pass Prices are: Family of four, $150; Individual, $50; Senior/Student, $30. Come to Door 5 during the school day or at a winter event during the season to purchase.

Madison is also now reserving seats for boys/girls basketball games. You can reserve by coming to the athletic office located at Door 5, or reserve at a basketball game. Those wishing to reserve seating for the boys and girls seasons, must do so before Jan. 1. Seats not reserved prior to Jan. 1, will open up for next year.



The Madison Parks Department is accepting applications for its 2019 Cheerleading Program.

The program is open to those ages five through sixth grade and costs $50, $10 for 2019 football cheerleaders.
