— Southwestern’s Ellie Foley and Bella Marcum, and Switzerland County’s Josie Meyer were each named to the all-tournament team for Class 2A Sectional 45.
Other members of the team are: North Decatur — Sidney Parmer (MVP), Haley Gorrell, Olivia Bohman; South Ripley — Cierra Copeland, Lindsey, Gracie Gunter; Milan — Lauren Roell; South Decatur — Lana Bell.

— Shawe’s jayvee boys basketball team fell 50-17 to Christian Academy at home on Friday/
Braeden Collins had six points and Trapper Johnson four to lead the Hilltoppers.
Shawe is now 2-11 on the season.

— Shawe Memorial is in search of a varsity girls tennis coach, a varsity boys golf coach, a junior high golf coach, and a junior high track & field coach.

— The Madison Parks & Recreation Department will have an organizational meeting for the Men’s Spring Basketball league at the Boneyard Grill on Madison’s hilltop at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
Anyone interested in entering a team should have a representative at the meeting. Fees and rules and more will be discussed.

— The 2020 Madison Parks & Recreation Department’s summer baseball and softball forms are now available
The participation fee is $50. The deadline for 7-12 year olds is March 27 and the deadline for 13-15 year olds is May 8. A participant’s age is determined by their age on May 1.
All applications received by the deadline are guaranteed a roster spot. Those that sign up late may be placed on a waiting list and are subject to a $20 late fee.
Coaches are also needed at all levels for baseball and softball. There will be a coaches information meeting at the Brown Gym on Monday, Feb. 24 at 6 p.m.
Forms are available at the Parks office located in the Brown Gym, online at www.madisonparks.com, Champs sports and Corporate Apparel, Liberty Screen Printing and will be distributed to area schools.
