Switzerland County girls basketball picked up a quality win at home on Saturday, defeating New Washington 59-46.

Leading the entire way, the Pacers held a 13-9 advantage after the first quarter and maintained the four-point lead through the second frame, taking a 25-21 score into halftime.

Up 34-30 after the third quarter, Switzerland County finally broke free in the final eight minutes, going on a 25-16 run in the fourth quarter to win by 13.

The Pacers had three players score in double figures. Eve Galbreath posted a double-double on the day scoring 19 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Brooke Todd scored 16 while Mackenzie Mathews added 12.

Switzerland County (8-5) travels to Jac-Cen-Del on Tuesday for an important Ohio River Valley Conference game.
