Trimble County's depth overcame a big scoring night from Williamstown's David Jump to lead the Raiders to a 73-62 homecoming win Friday night in Bedford.

Jump, a senior guard who has the reputation of a big scorer with deadly accuracy outside, did not disappoint, scoring 36 points on the strength of 10 3-pointers.

Trimble County had nobody who could match Jump's output, but Michael Dunaway had 19 points and 11 rebounds, Dusty Wyssbrod scored 16 points and had six assists and Evan Long added 14 points.

Trimble took control of the game in the third quarter. After battling Williamstown even through the first two quarters, the Raiders outscored the Demons 26-17 in the third and 20-15 in the fourth to pull away.

"It took us a while to get going tonight. Williamstown tried to hold the ball for two to three minutes and shorten the game," Trimble County coach Johnny Leep said of the non-conference win. "David Jump had a huge night ... We ran two guys at him in the second half. Zach Brooks and Dusty Wyssbrod really battled him and wore him down finally.

"We came out in the third quarter and really turned up the heat and forced them to speed up. It was a good team win and a great learning experience for our team."

Trimble County, now winners of five of its last six games including four in a row, visits North Bullitt on Monday.

Trimble County and Williamstown will square of in their annual North Central Kentucky Conference matchup on Feb. 15 in Williamstown.
