Madison’s volleyball team suffered a four-set loss at Rock Creek on Saturday.

The Cubs won the first set 25-20 but then suffered losses in the final three, 25-15, 25-10 and 25-19.

“We started strong and our front row had a great net presence against Rock Creek’s senior. Jenna (Rohrer), Chloe (Preocanin), and Kallie (Eder) really put up a good fight,” Madison coach Camille Crim said. “We let our guard down after game one and despite our early lead in game four, we never recovered. We have three more games this week! It is difficult to not have practices between games to tweak things before we play again.”

Rohrer was 18-for-19 serving with an ace, three kills and five digs while Gracie True was 13-for-13 serving with two aces, 17 assists and 10 digs. Preocanin was 12-for-12 serving with an ace, 10 kills and 10 digs, Taylor Harsin was 8-for-11 serving with two aces, four kills and seven digs, Eder had four kills and Brooklyn Cornelius had 10 digs.

Madison, now 5-7 on the season, hosted Class A No. 1 Trinity Lutheran on Monday and travels to Scottsburg today. The Cubs host Henryville on Thursday.
